Do you dream of being able to make your own patterns to sew from? Then this is the perfect course for you to start with!
About the course
You will receive a broad and solid foundation in manual patternmaking for ready-to-wear womenswear. The course is held in English.
Arrangement
You’ll learn to draft manual patterns from scratch in a range of ready-to-wear sizes. During the course, we will construct patterns for different models of skirts, blouses, dresses and trousers.
Your teacher will draw the patterns in full scale 1:1 on the whiteboard as you’ll draw in scale 1:4 at your desk and will therefore create your own valuable compendium of different types of models and garments. The course is based on drafting the easiest patterns to start, basic skirts, and moving forward to more advanced designs. When you’ve completed the course, you’ll be able to use your previous drafts and acquired skills to find inspiration and easily create your own patterns to make up.
Previous knowledge
No previous knowledge of pattern making is needed, the course is aimed at beginners.

Other information
The course is held on Wednesdays from 5:30 pm to 9:15 pm, it’s run for 60 hours over 16 meetings. The course will have a brief break over Spring Break w. 9, Easter Holidays w. 14, and Valborgsmässoafton w. 18.
